31DC2019 Day 6: Violet – Watercolour Gems with Nicole Diary Review

Continuing with the 31 Day Challenge for 2019. We’ve hit Day 6’s Violet prompt. For this I chose to do a 31DC2019 Day 6: Violet – Watercolour Gems with Nicole Diary Plate Review (for Born Pretty).  [Explore entries on Instagram using the official hashtag #31DC2019 ]

I have another combo post for Day 6 of the challenge. I’m incorporating a Born Pretty review plate as part of this manicure.

I painted the background with watercolors in pink and blue to give it a sort of dreamy look. I used them over a matted white gel – Madam Glam’s Perfect White, which really makes a great base for any nail art requiring a light colour or a shade of white. Born Pretty item: Nicole Diary Plate 086

You might look at this and be wondering how this manicure counts as violet? Well the stamping was done with some recent Hit the Bottle limited releases that are purple toned or violet. I did some gradients stamping and incorporated a royal blue with those colours.

I did originally have something different but I’ve bumped that idea to something in the future prompts instead as I really wanted to use this plate.

BORN PRETTY REVIEW

BORN PRETTY sent me this cool Nicole Diary brand plate 086 – a round plate with crystals, geodes and gems on it. It’s Item No: 46236. NICOLE DIARY is a theme-based nail art brand founded in 2011 by “NICOLE”, she believes that”Nail arts is one of the ways people can feel creative and artsy, as nail arts supposed to be.”

This 6cm round plate is a cute addition to the collection. It picked up well with clear and sticky stampers I tried, and I’ve used several images above. I thought it looked dreamy so went with a watercolour background.
