I have the Madam Glam Illumination Glitter & Perfect White – Gel Polish Swatch for today’s post. Posting this later than I’d wanted, but I ended up redoing this after having some teething troubles with the new replacement tech gear. (I am still fine-tuning new upgrades and gear that is replacing the things were troubling me for the last few months. But some stuff’s not talking to each other or I’m still working out best operation of said items haha, so you’ll have to excuse me while I get working!). Read on for more…
The full details and description of this lacquer is listed below the images in The Rundown section.
I used two coats for full opacity for these swatches, although it almost looks like you could get away with one if using yourself or especially for a base. I always use two regardless for swatches at a minimum, because I use bright lights and don’t want show through of any potential visible nail line.
It was really nice and creamy, opaque by the second coat. As I’ve said before my previous post this really is the perfect white. Certainly earns its name and is a good shade of white that’s not neither too warm nor too cool, but the perfect neutral.
It took 30 seconds to cure (2min in CFL UV) in my Madam Glam Holi UV LED lamp – of which you can read the review here. It’s quite long and detailed, but worth a read if you’re looking for a reliable gel nail lamp. Or just interested in learning a few things you might not know.
These swatches were over MG’s Base Coat. Then top coated with Madam Glam’s fabulous No Wipe Gel Top Coat, also a soak off product and still one of my favourites in terms of no wipe top gels. And believe me I’ve quite the collection of these types of products. The other great thing about this is that it’s not a pro only product, so it’s available for purchase to anyone who desires.
Both bottles mentioned here come in half ounce, 15ml sizes. I really appreciate this larger size bottle because it’s more generous, and I tend to use favourite colours over and over again so it just makes sense.
Illumination Glitter
On the ring finger you can see the Illumination glitter. This comes in a 5g screw top pot of loose glitterdust. It’s very fine and looks gorgeous paired with Perfect White. I’m using this combo in an upcoming mani. It’s a sugar white-coloured loose glitter with a very subtle sparkle. Living with you with a beautiful, soft effect.
To use it you can apply it several ways:
I’ve added some No Wipe Top Coat and sprinkled the Glitter over the uncured nail. You can also use a very tiny amount of top coat and then dip your nail into the pot – it’s bigger than a finger so it will work for short to medium long nails. If your nails are any longer you’ll need to sprinkle with a tiny spoon or the back of a nail polish swatch stick.
You want to use with a no wipe top coat so that when it cures, there’s no tacky surface in areas where you may have missed covering with the glitter. Cure top coat as per regular instructions and then brush off excess glitter. Give it a good brush if you want to avoid finding random glitters in your eyebrows for the next two weeks haha 😂🤣
You could also mix this glitter in with a tiny amount of top coat and brush over the nail. This will work with gel or regular polish.
Given how lovely this glitter looked, I’m keen to try some of their other variations.

It’s a fabulous white. Can be hard finding a good neutral white, but this is one of them! The glitter is fun too, thanks 💕
