Born Pretty Silver Snow Light Semi-Transparent Magnetic Gel Nail Art Review

I’ll be showing you the Born Pretty Silver Snow Light Semi-Transparent Magnetic Gel & Jelly Gels Nail Art Review.

This is another magnetic top coat that is designed to be used over any base colour. It comes in a 6ml bottle and there might be a 10ml one available, as with other brands, but I received the 6ml bottle for both items.

Just like the holo magnetic polish I showed you in this post, you can use any sort of colour and given that this Silver Snowlight one’s semi-transparent it looks good over all the semi-transparent jelly colours as well since it’s a little subtler in the effects. Whereas the other Holo magnetic gel has chunky particles, this one is quite soft and elegant looking.

I did a little nail art with it using Madam Glam’s Roarrr! which was one of the bottles from the 2020 Advent Calendar (check out that cool thing here). I have also used it over a baby pink nude shade from Madam Glam just plain so you can see the shift.

You can also build the colour up so it’s thicker if you want to do anything like french tips or wear it on its own using several coats. It looks quite cool over dark colours because of semi-transparent properties so you can actually really see the colour underneath well. It also looks good over lighter colours if you’re looking for something a little more subtle as well, but there’s a lot more noticeable contrast with darker base shades.

The instructions to use the same as the other magnetic top coat.

Application Instructions:
1: Shake the magnetic polish well and let it stand (heavy particles can sink)

2: Clean and prep nails, remove cuticle and shape if needed.
3: Apply a thin layer of Base Coat and cure in UV or LED UV nail lamp (as per instruction).
4: Apply 1st layer of Colour Gel, and cure.
5: Apply 2nd layer of Colour Gel if needed, and cure.
6: Apply silver snowlight magnetic gel – a medium thick layer is ideal for this one
7: Hold the magnet over the nails – hold for at least 15 seconds.
8: Cure 60-90 seconds in UV or LED lamp (*times for 48w lamp).
