SUNGLASSES WARNING! 😎 Do you love Neon? Back with that pop of colour for a colourful start to the week. I present the fabulous hot pink: Go Gaga. And you probably will… Neon done two ways.
If you’re a neon-lover too, this gel polish from @opallacgelpolish will make you swoon with its brightness 💡 I’ve showed it here in two states:
First photo displays my preferred method of using neons, which is “with Undies” – a white polish undercoat added beneath the #neon, to make it really POP! 💥 I used Opallac’s French Affair below 2 thin coats of Go Gaga.
In the second swatch you can see it on its own, plain, in sunlight 🌞 Given the jelly/crelly nature of this polish, this took 3 layers to build opacity and hide any hint of VNL (aka, visible nail line) when used solo.
The photos don’t really depict the full brightness, but given that “Eye-Searing” is my favourite shade of pink, it wins my tick of approval 🔥🔥 These were so shiny with the gloss top coat (um, yeah, note the hair & room shades in the reflection).
Formula & Application notes:
This is really two swatches so refer to the main post for notes on this.
I do think it works and looks brighter on a white base, so grab French Affair or another white gel that is just as opaque to achieve the best effect. And then paint the pink colour coats on thinly to keep it even.
Really, what more else is there to say? I love this kind of shade. I’m not pink’s biggest fan, but hot pink and neon get me every time 😍 Again, you will love this if bright is right up your alley!
It is warmer than Orly’s Beach Cruiser, a shade different to Picture Polish’s Hot Lips, but in that ballpark.
