Born Pretty – Sweet Dream 001 Plate

Today I have another Born Pretty review featuring three different items. They include to gels from the Born Pretty 6ml Pure Spring Series gel polishes and a plate from their own brand of stamping plates.

Born Pretty Pure Spring Series Gel Polish – 14 Colors

Are used to polishes here to create an abstract sky using GBO2 Blues for base and infusing it with PPO2 Miss You pink [Item Number: 46147], to create a soft abstract cloud quality for the tips. These gel polishes are creamy and applied fully opaque into coats. They cure with an LED lamp for 60 seconds or a CFL UV lamp for 2 minutes per layer. I then top coated with a no wipe top coat also from Born Pretty. This is because I always use the same brand base and top coat for safety reasons.

I stamped over this using Born Pretty stamping plate – the first in the Sweet Dreams series number A001 [Item Number: 46153] . It has dreamy quality images, a nice dreamscape, and contains a lot of small images that fit on most nails with a couple of larger areas for full coverage patterns at the top and bottom of the plate. It has an outer space sea feel and includes fishes, dolphins, floating castles, angel wings, seahorses, tails, stars, dancers and musical notes, among other things.

The plate is a 12 cm by 6 cm stainless steel rectangular plate, with a plastic safety backing so you don’t cut yourself (something I always prefer) so it will fit well in common plate holders designed for that size product.

The plate was etched well and images both picked up and stamped very easily using my trusty white polish from fan favourite Hit the Bottle, named Snowed In.

I wanted to keep the sort of a ethereal theme going, so I just did simple stamping in white over my abstract cloud base.
