Opallac Strawberries & Cream β Gel Polish Swatch and transition video…
Oh would you look at the time? Yes, it’s apparently always Beer O’Clock, but it’s also SWATCH TIME! πΊπ This week’s swatch is very two-faced, but you wouldn’t un-friend it
Above shows her in her warmer natural state (it was a hot day, I am sure it would be different in winter), and below when dunked in chilled, icy conditions.
Bottle shot for your potential mental shopping list…
Now you can watch a video of her in transition from hot to cold. I even colour coded the containers for you – ain’t I nice? Because I know many of you find it slightlyΒ annoying not knowing which colour state is warm or cool when seeing a thermal polish, so I just wanted to make it clear for you. Cos’ that’s just how I roll.
PS: I’d still appreciate a follow on YouTubeΒ if you’re ableΒ (in part cos I’d love to have a friendly URL but to do that I need the numbers. And I’d use it more.)
THE RUNDOWN:
Name: Strawberries & Cream β available hereΒ or select Priceline (AU) stores
Brand:Β Opallac
Collection:Β Core Collection
Colour (or family): Pink
Type & Finish:Β βCrΓ¨me
Size:Β 7.5ml / 0.25oz
Formula & Application notes:
Smooth and glossy this is 2 thin coats. This was a really reactive thermal polish as you can see in the nail art part of the transition video. Go see above YouTube vid. The plain part of the video was such a hot day the effect was too fleeting to capture on camera, so probably not the best day to shoot. But it is great that it’s so sensitive, as some thermals I’ve used are not this quick to change – even a drop of cold made a distinctive mark.
I liked this shade, it’s a fun shade to use as a base for nail art and has complementary tones in it’s natural pink-white state that would really suit many skin tones from fair through to dark. Plus the added bonus of fun, and a talking point if you want people to notice your fingers!
The Verdict:
Meet Strawberries & Cream from @opallacgelpolish – she runs hot and cold, but you’ll love her swinging moods. Yep, she’s a thermal gel polish. First shot shows her cool side, the second is when sheβs gets all heated up (most likely her natural state in a warmer climate), the third she keeps it all bottled up. πΌ Astrologers call her the Gemini of gel polish β easily transitioning between hot and cold, and rather sensitive to react π Jokes aside though, this oneβs a keeper!
