Opallac Sherry Spark – Gel Polish Swatch

Who doesn’t love to match their nails to their wine, eh? 🍷😁 Since Valentine’s Day is not far off, I thought this gel polish #swatch would be apt. It is a nice, full-bodied kind of red for the collection.

This wine-shaded, shimmery beauty is Sherry Spark from @opallacgelpolish 💖 I’ve tried to capture the shimmer of it so you can see, as it was playing hide and seek in the shadows.

Posted a little bit later than expected though as Instagram wouldn’t let me post anything all week and keeps crashing, so fingers crossed it’s now sorted! I wanted to post them at the same time.

THE RUNDOWN:

Name: Sherry Spark – available here or select Priceline (AU) stores
Brand: Opallac
Collection: Core Collection
Colour (or family): Red
Type & Finish: ‎Shimmer
Size: 7.5ml / 0.25oz

Formula & Application notes:
Smooth and glossy ain’t it? This wine-shaded, shimmery beauty is Sherry Spark from @opallacgelpolish 💖 I’ve tried to capture the shimmer of it so you can see, as it was playing hide and seek in the shadows. It is the shimmer reflected above, and there are no brushstrokes in this polish in case you were wondering.

This one’s rather pigmented and goes on in 2 easy peasy coats. It’s a deeper colour like the label shows. Even though this is in natural light the reds keep freaking out this current camera a touch and I can’t access my other one, so I may give them a break til then I can do them proper justice.

The Verdict:
I like the deeper shades, and despite red polishes being the original classic, I still like them. I know others find red boring, but this one is not. Especially thanks to the shimmer it has. It’s a great shade for night or evening wear and would suit a range of skin tones.

Dupes/Similar Lacquers:
There are a couple of similar berry wine shades from Essie that spring to mind, but they aren’t dupes.
