So despite the new web space still being less than half finished, I decided I should post 2013’s Day of the Dead. Heck I did Halloween, it only makes sense 😉
Día de los Muertos, or Day of the Dead nails. It’s that time of the year again when Mexico and other Latin American countries celebrate and honor the deceased.
I went for something cute but simple this year given the current lack of energy and time.
A number of things that you may see throughout the Day of the Dead festival – Calecas (the basic skulls here), sugar skulls, flowers (it’s not quite a marigold), hearts and crucifixes were my theme du jour. The camera didn’t really pick up the detailed pattern layers on the thumb and cactii on the middle finger, but that’s okay.
