Here’s a detailed look at the Born Pretty X KUNCAT Stamping Plates Set – Pix & Review. This stamping plate set collaboration was one of the first releases for this collaboration series between Born Pretty & KUNCAT. There are others, but this is the second I was sent. This set contains 4 stamping plates, a themed card scraper, and a cat themed stamper. It all comes in a really cute themed box that you can keep the items stored in for later. It’s also very colourful and covered in cats, so if you’re a cat lover or gifting a cat lover who’s into nails, you’re probably going to love this set.

Because there’s so many photos of the actual item, I’m going to show the nail art separately, but this is what the box contains.

Here are the stamping plates close up – all 4 of them are themed around the KunCat characters, but there are various other full cover and accent stamping imagery. Including shapes, french tip patterns etcetera.

The stamper you get is nice, soft and squishy but it isn’t see through like silicone stampers. I liked it anyway and it worked well at picking up the images on the plates. The plates picked up well for all the images I tried with various stamping polishes, and they also worked fine with a see-through stamper – which is what I ended up using for part of my design because I need to see where I’m placing it.

The stamper is shiny and may need to be VERY GENTLY buffed with a fine nail file – I recommend a light hand and 280 – 4000 grit file. Anything more will scratch the surface and may break it. You could first try washing it in gentle dish soap and air drying, but with these stamper heads, the surface of the stamper needs to be a little matte before use it.
