Continuing with the 31 Day Challenge for 2019. We’ve hit Day 3’s Yellow prompt. For this I chose to do a Sour Lemons Hand-painted nail art. [Explore entries on Instagram using the official hashtag #31DC2019 ]
Of course I couldn’t get through the 31 Day Challenge without doing a citrus themed mani. With all the hot weather about all of a sudden, I did jump on the lemon trend for Day 3’s prompt of yellow.
You’ve probably noticed that I love yellow. It’s such a fresh, vibrant colour. So of course I opted for sour lemons on a beautiful blue base. I mix matte and gloss for this look… Cos why not?
The base is a beautiful baby blue colour gel from the Madam Glam Daddy’s Girl collection called Honest Sky. Freaking love this colour! it’s a light and creamy shade of minty blue. You can see the review & swatches of this on my website post here.
I freehand painted the lemons and was going for a more illustrative style. I used @MittyBurns 3mm Salon Series Detail Brush – which was used in the sloth nails several posts back if you wanna take a look, see here and here.
Keeping this post short because I’m a day behind in posting with all the stuff I’ve had going on – and I still need to catch up on comments and other entries. Which should happen after the first week when I have a little more time to play with and can get this a bit more back on track, well, things all going to plan!?
Are you one of those yellow lovers or haters? I know there are lots of both of you out there.
And that wraps up my 31DC2019 Day 3: Yellow – Sour Lemons Hand-painted mani.
