31DC2019 Day 4: Green – Tropical Leaves, with Born Pretty Green Gel Review

Continuing with the 31 Day Challenge for 2019. We’ve hit Day 4’s Green prompt. For this I chose to do a Tropical Leaves, with Born Pretty Green Gel Review.  [Explore entries on Instagram using the official hashtag #31DC2019 ]

Today’s another combo post where I continue with the challenge and incorporate a Born Pretty gel review. I’ve had so much deadlines to catch up on thanks to the past few months of “stuff” so I haven’t had a chance to view links and comment yet, but will be able to in the coming days. By the time I type & shoot & edit & post (with a current handicap in the mix) to all mediums there’s really not much time left in the day! Forgive me.

I went with tropical leaves, pairing green gold and white for today’s nail art. I’m using a beautiful forest green called wizard of Oz. This 6ml polish, Item Number 46536, was included as part of Born Pretty Store Summer Series.

I’ve been getting into greens so much more this year, and even though I love that colour I don’t always wear it on my nails. But this shade is everything. So nice and deep and dark and makes a great base for other colours.

I added some tropical leaves decals, even though I was going to paint some Monstera leaves on (there’s a plant out nearby I see daily), but I kind of ran out of time being a little behind. Anyway I really like this green shade. Simple sometimes is often the best in a challenge so … well, challenging!

You can read a little more on the green gel and how it performs below. I added a matte top gel later – Opallac’s no wipe one that I love.

GEL REVIEW

BORN PRETTY 6ml Gel Polish Summer Series – Soak Off UV Gel Varnish ITEM NO: 46536. I chose this awesome forest green BP-GS10 called Wizard Of Oz. I looove this shade. Having a green moment lately, and this is a fabulous shade of green. Deep, dark and enticing.

It applied well in two easy coats and I used Born Pretty Base Coat gel with the No Wipe Top Coat. It was not patchy and mixed well. It is a nicely pigmented shade and the bottle arrived full and shrink-wrapped in a box. The full Summer Series collection is shown below.
