Another day, another punny title. Yawn! Today is one of my favourites: Geometric! Yay! I love the shapes and angles they create. Hardly biased. Nope, not at all as a design nerd. Who likes sleek lines. Or architecture. Or interiors. And for the record, I loved triangles long before Hipsters stole them 😉
Anyhoo, today’s title is inspired in part by some funny typos and misspellings I saw. Specifically a number of places where there was some confusion between Angles and Angels. In one case someone had died and people were offering kind condolences, as you do. But several of the commenters found comfort in the fact that “Heaven received an Angle” and happy that “now there’s an Angle watching over us”. I mean maybe this occurs in the Hipster afterlife?
I shouldn’t laugh because it’s serious, but it’s also bloody hilarious. All I could think of is God Loves Geometry.
And you may have heard of Hipster Jesus, no?
So. Anyways, back to the Angles thing. I again ran out of any time and nothing would light up or dry, so you are getting this one later too. I will hopefully post more of this later but let’s see how I go!
I layered some lines and shapes in dark grey over a white base. Topped with gold lines and some colour blocked areas in minty green and neon orange. And you have an abstract geometric pattern to match today’s prompt. I do kind of like it still but it wasn’t completely what I’d planned earlier and I had to rush it a bit in the end. Rushing things never helps that feeling, when you can’t finish something and it feels partially complete. GAH!
Hopefully there is still some time in tomorrow and I can get back on track by Friday. I am falling behind where I wanted to be in this Challenge each day. Posting earlier, having time to look through the others – even though I caught up a little this morning. I’ll try add more pix of this look tomorrow IF I get time to do so as I have a few things on before the weekend.

I’m with you on the whole liking triangles before they were cool. I get why it’s such a thing now (because awesomeness) but I hate feeling like some hipster bandwagoneer when I profess my love of them. I hope when I die I become an angle in heaven haha!

And you nailed it right there – it’s like when you show some triangle love you get flamed for bandwagoning, or sized up like “wait, where’s your flanno and ironic beard, are you one of those types?” But I just flat out don’t feel the same about rhombuses.
Amen to that, sister! Let us both be angles in heaven – cos Hark the Herald Angles sing, fala-la-la-la bwahaha!
