Metallic Mush by Picture Polish – Swatch Challenge 2

Metallic Mush by Picture Polish – as part of the Swatch Challenge 2, 2017. The idea was to take a photo in your favourite place, with the swatch and holding the bottle. And add a little story to go with it. I had to battle with long hair in the breeze, a baffle/reflector and some bees to get this shot, so I hope it works in my favour!

As mentioned I chose this swatch is of Metallic Mush by @picturepolish for @picturepolishchallenges Swatch Challenge 2, 2017 dueot its great complementary look with the ocean blues. Lucky I didn’t have to go far (I can’t exactly move or do much ATM), literally outside to see a favourite place: The Ocean.

🌊 Water is calming, it’s soothing, it’s awesome – even when it’s angry. It’s relaxing to watch as the storms roll in, or listen to the waves break whilst recuperating; It both sends you to sleep & makes you feel alive ☀Cancer stole my friend the day before & twas the first day in weeks, nary a cloud in sight and a bright, beaming sun! 🌞 The view reminds me of an old poem:

“Day after day, day after day,
We stuck, nor breath nor motion;
As idle as a painted ship
Upon a painted ocean.

Water, water, everywhere,
And all the boards did shrink;
Water, water, everywhere,
Nor any drop to drink.”

It’s from ‘The Rime of the Ancient Mariner’ by English poet Samuel Taylor Coleridge, about a mariner’s journey on the sea. It’s a ginormous poem AND I had to memorise the whole thing one time. Would you be more impressed by the fact it’s nearly 630 lines?? 😳😜 Anyhoo…I love blues and this 🍄 magical metallic mushroom toned polish balances them out perfectly! A magic mushroom indeed… 💕

Though I battled hair, props & IG cut off the nice gradient sky in the entry post, it was still a #pictureperfect day for #picturepolish #nailchallenge.
