As we hit the end of Section 1, we begin my favourite section Styles. Beginning this second chapter is the Polka Dot prompt. Are you Feeling Dotty? I certainly was after placing all these glitter dots as equally spaced apart as I could in dim light with a pencil, some tape and a paperclip. I tell you, I have always been a MacGuyver of things and it was like a battle of “fix it with whatever was on hand”. So there. I fixed it!
Pix? You want pix instead of commentary? Oh, okay.
When I say I was being a MacGyver with the glitter placement… For those who never got the show reference, it’s a term used to illustrate one’s resourcefulness.
And another view of the dotty making mani!
As mentioned before I am not generally pink’s hugest fan in terms of owning pink objects or wearing pink hued fashion items. So it isn’t something I generally reach for when choosing ‘what to wear’ so to speak. Hot pink on the nails is the exception. But given it is challenge time and the 31 Day Challenge is a great opportunity to trial new things, I thought that for one day I could make the exception.
I am not a colour bigot. So I’m trying to be as inclusive as possible here and would like all my manis to have colour variance by the end. You know how it is… That said, I love using it in art and combinations of things. Therefore I do own a number of soft, pretty and sweet pinks, so it ain’t like I had nothing to choose from. And these ones are well suited to a polka dot theme.
And if you’re still unclear about who MacGyver is, the theme titles might give you a fantastically 80’s idea…
When it comes to pink are you a lover or a middle of the fencer? Does it give you as much grief as Orange does to others?

Very cute combination! I like pink and find it very versatile and easy to wear. I have certain issues with orange though..

Thank you. When I was younger I sometimes had slight issues with orange, but have definitely eased up on that over time. Maybe I’m getting old haha. I think certain shades of pinks and orange are amazing together (gradients, nail art etc)
