Red Carpet Ruffian Nail Art, Hand-Painted & Matte over Opallac Red Carpet Queen glitter gel polish. Swatches in previous post!
These were hand painted in white with a skinny brush, a liner brush and patience. I had no idea what to do and settled on a simple geometric shape design so as to allow the glitter to show through from beneath. I completed the mani with a matte top coat.
If you have been around for a while, you will also know or have guessed by now that I have a love of matte top coats – especially the effect is has when you mattify glitters and holographic polishes. This makes it look like funky pond mani!
I like how the white shapes seem to hover above the suspended glitter pieces. Looks again like a pond mani and kind of cool.
Now I’m not 100% on this, but I think it was top coated with this Born Pretty No Wipe Gel Matte Top Coat [ITEM NO: 40707] which you can see the review and demo of in that link. Feel free to use my code BUFFQ10 for 10% off your BornPrettyStore.com orders.
