Día de los Muertos, or Day of the Dead nails. It’s that time of the year again when Mexico and other Latin American countries celebrate and honor the deceased. I went for something cute but simple this year given the current lack of energy and time.
A number of things that you may see throughout the Day of the Dead festival – Calecas (the basic skulls here), sugar skulls, flowers (not quite a marigold), hearts and crucifixes were my theme du jour. The camera didn’t really pick up the detailed pattern layers on the thumb and cactii on the middle finger, but that’s okay.
So despite the new web space being less than half finished, I thought I should post 2013’s Halloween nail art effort before it passes.
This year I wanted to do something other than the typical ‘orange, green, black & scary’ combo – a different colour scheme per se. So it is a little more colourful than norm, but still kinda fun nonetheless.
