From the several recently released ‘blogger collaboration’ lacquers from piCture pOlish, there were quite a few greens. I have to say this stood out to me and was was one of my favourites of the new releases. This was in conjunction with Malene from Nail Escapades – a blogger from Denmark. Nice job on the outcome!
If you look at the bottle above you can see where I have tried to capture some of the bluish tint in the lacquer. It was overcast for so long lately that I wasn’t able to get a real sunlit photograph of it, but you can still see if you look close. Definitely more in the bottle than on the nails where the depth of the teal takes over.
From the site, inspiration for this polish stems from: “Malene loves blue and green and combined with a personal journey, Escapades was created… ”
And a couple more photos that show the scatter holo effect a bit more frontally.
Phew! Had so little energy and soo much to arrange and fix with my before my impending ‘holiday in hospital’ in mere hours, so wasn’t sure I’d get there. At least I can post this now. And before I pass out, here’s the wrap up…
THE RUNDOWN:
Name: Escapades
Brand: piCture pOlish feat. Nail Escapades
Collection: 2014 Blogger Collaboration
Colour (or family): Dark bluish teal green
Type & Finish: Jelly Scatter Holo
Size: 11ml / 0.37z
Formula & Application notes:
As with usual Picture Polish shades the formula on this was great. Being a jelly though you will probably need two coats to reach a full coverage. Unless of course you use it over black or green undies. It’s lasted the couple of days so far on me with no chipping, doing light duties and getting my stuff packed etcetera, so wear time is so far so good.
The Verdict:
I’m loving this colour and polish. It’s smooth and easy to work with. No downsides or complaints from me. I had a few comments on it too. I recommend it if you are into teals, greens or dark polishes. If you haven’t tried piCture pOlish they do make some great lacquers.
The scatter holo particles would make a lovely base for an alternative galaxy nail. Or a dark Chritsmas based theme nail. Which I might do even if the sedatives are making me say that now LOL…
Purchase: From www.picturepolish.com.au or check the list of international stockists.
