Born Pretty – In Blossom Plate A03

Born Pretty Pure Spring Series Gel Polish – 14 Colors

Item or items used in this nail art from born pretty includes a gel from the spring 2019 collection and a floral plate from their own brand stamping plates.

The base I’ve used beneath the stamping lovely medium green called Childlike GS01 [Item Number: 46147] . I’ve really been getting into the green polishers this year and working hard to up my collection in both regular and gel types with this colour.

It’s a brighter prettier tone so I thought it would work really well with the floral plate cos it reminds me of fresh Greenery and leaves in spring.

It comes in a 6 mil bottle as do all born pretty gel polishes from the new arrange and cures for 60 seconds in LED lamps or 2 minutes in a CFL UV. It took two coats for full opacity, and I use a glossy no wipe top coat to finish it off before the stamping.

Born Pretty – In Blossom Plate A03

It was stamp using a gorgeous floral plate called In Blossom number BP-A03 [Item Number: 42503] . I really love this Born Pretty plate because there’s one while row that is completely negative space floral images, as you can see from the image below. So naturally I was going to use those since I love them so much!

The plate is a 12 cm by 6 cm stainless steel rectangular plate, with a plastic safety backing so you don’t cut yourself (something I always prefer in my plates, given that it is absent from some of the cheaper ones) so it will fit well in common plate holders designed for that size product.

The plate was etched well and images picked up and stamped very easily using both sticky stamper non transparent and a clear silicone stamper that I tested it with. Using Hit the Bottle’s white, Snowed In.

I did a random smooshy, fluid accent in the middle using floral colours. It doesn’t look all that good but was a bit too late at night to change it. So I left it as is. I was going for a kind of ‘dropped petals’ abstract. Which slightly worked on the one finger, not so much on the other. Oh well, can’t win ’em all 😂

If you’re a fan of negative space stamping plates and florals like myself, I recommend this affordable nail plate.
