It’s been at least several months since I donned any animal print nail art, so after some deliberation I decided to run with Leopard print nails. I wanted to try out this white shade of Revlon ColorStay Gel Envy – Sure Thing, so that was the base of this art.
I wanted something more bold and opted for a golden bronze toned ‘spot’. Using Mundo de Uñas – Bronze (#19) over the white.
To achieve this look you can either use a stamping plate, a dotting tool or thin brush. I used a combination of brush and stamp given the little time (and energy I had).
To create the ‘T’ on the index finger mask off 1/3 of the nail plate with tape. Add your Leopard print design. Using a flexible liner brush, dipped in the bronze polish – but not overloaded, slowly create a horizontal line that follows the edge of the tape. When tacky dry, remove the tape and add a vertical line at 90° from the line to the base of the nail. Best to use a slow stroke and gently ‘pull’ the brush for a clean, crisp line. Alternatively you can use more tape to mask it off and colour in the lines.
