It’s time for another Mani Swap! I did a Fireworks mani in metallics for Mani Swap Circle – Jan 2019 edition. We’re starting to post earlier each month from this year, due to the glut of Challenges usually due at the end of the year.
The January colours were Metallic & Black, specifically silver, gold and rose gold. Right up my metallic alley so to speak!
I was assigned to do a mani from Invictus Nails (@invictus_nails) and the mission is to recreate one of their original manis, so I chose this fireworks nail design. [When I say original manis, it means not ones that are already swaps or recreations of someone else’s.]
I thought it would look really cool in metalics and rather than freehand due to the fast drying nature of metallic polish, I decided to stamp it. I managed to find a fireworks plate, thankfully. I really wanted to do this similar mani for New Year’s Eve, but the colours were too similar to this challenge which is why I did something else.
This account has lots of hand-painted nail art that I love doing, so go check it out. I was kinda sad that I couldn’t recreate a freehand mani for a change (it’s not often you get the chance in these things), but these colours aren’t the kind that can be used for painting scenery. These turned out pretty well anyways, so still happy with them!
Here’s a look at the Original mani I chose to recreate:
