I was all looking forward to Halloween this time last year and after things went seriously pear-shaped, ended up missing the entire thing!? So I am doing at least a couple. I do get sick of incorporating orange into everything halloweeny. Unless I’m donning gels (or gel polish) I am not one who can wear the same shade continuously. The other polishes get jealous, and I don’t like to neglect them.
Here is my my latest set – an illustrated skittle mani with various Halloween-themed items, presented with a pop of bold colour. Ooh, er! Shall we?
There’s a detached eyeball which stares back at you from the thumb. A bleeding heart on the middle finger. Gruesome monster mouth on the ring finger and a haunting death kitty on the pinkie.
Imagine a hissing sound emanating from the cat.
Here’s the China Glaze glow polish used, Ghoulish Glow, but my camera wasn’t picking it up very well, so you don’t get to see it in action I’m afraid… It’s a typical greenish glow effect top coat that was from various Halloween collections (as far back as 2011? If my brain’s Polish Wiki serves me correctly). Check out some shots of it in full glow here and courtesy of Goooogle.

That heart is everything! I also have a soft spot (?!) for the detached eyeball. Awesome stuff!

Thank you Jae! Bwahaha – a ‘soft spot’ for the eyeball 😅
Admittedly, when I look at it I sometimes think about that Indiana Jones soup scene… 😁
