Day 3 of the 31 Day Challenge is Yellow. I paired it with metallic strips and negative space for a simple mani.
Here’s a shade I love called Glowstar from Floss Gloss – YEAH BABY! It’s a pasteliciously opaque, minty yellow-green creme. And it rocks! In previous year’s I’ve gone fresh ‘n’ floral with some vintage flowers but being time poor that wasn’t an option today.
Don’t mind the shitty photo. Not happy with that. As mentioned I didn’t and still don’t have half my stuff including some lights…so I’m limping along this year doing what I can. With limitations of all kinds, le sigh. At least yellow is a happy colour to make up for it all, eh? 😀
Video will be coming but given the time constraints will be done whenever. Here’s a still showing some of my strips used in the creation of how this ‘thingy’ was done. Kinda fun process and not too complex, but you’ll have to wait and see for the full deets. Or perhaps wait and watch. Subscribe to my ‘new’ YouTube channel* to be updated.
(*Well newly updated as I’ll be using much more once the dust settles in the next few months)
This is a glimpse of what I did in 2016 – way back when I had more time. Actually no I didn’t but anyhoo… It’s fun to compare.
It’s been great seeing the other entries but I’ll be able to catch up more at the end of the week. May your yellow brighten up the day! When yellow prompt comes around, are you a lover or a hater? Sound off below.

Pretty! I can see you like pairing yellow and gold together. Now I’m wondering why I haven’t done it yet. 😜
What patience this mani must have required! I love how it looks with that cold yellow base.
