Opallac Pastel Polly – Gel Polish Swatch

Who doesn’t love a pastel, eh? As a colour lover I generally have a fondness for most colour types, but I do love a good pastel. A great addition for any collector’s collection IMHO. This is Opallac Pastel Polly – the Gel Polish Swatch

THE RUNDOWN:

Name: Pastel Polly – available here or select Priceline (AU) stores
Brand: Opallac
Collection: Core Collection
Colour (or family): Pink
Type & Finish: ‎Pastel Crème
Size: 7.5ml / 0.25oz

Formula & Application notes:
Smooth and glossy this is 2 thin coats. It is a nice warmer leaning pink toned pastel shade. It’s no secret that pink is not usually my favourite colour but I really dig this shade. I love a good pastel and this one is perfect. The right amount of white in it to add a nice balance where it is not too light, but is still soft.

I had no application issues, and it was well pigmented. Which is important for what I decided to do with the nail art that shows this shade off (coming soon).

The Verdict:
I think you will love this colour if you are a pink lover. It suits a range of skin tones from fair through olive and dark because it has a slightly warm base and just enough white added. Some pastel pinks on the market often have lots of white and can look a little chalky on certain skin tones, so i don’t think there will be that issue here.

Would make a great ‘safe’ work place colour, base for nail art or playful warm weather.

Dupes/Similar Lacquers:
It’s not a unique shade of pink, being a hugely popular colour, so there are similar lacquers in various brands.
