Stretching out the weekend’s pink theme with what I possibly deem the penultimate shade of that colour to wear – a loud, screaming, neon bright version! This baby here is Hot Lips by @piCturepOlish for #ppswatchchallenge12017. You had the option to post with a pet, flower or self. So obviously I chose pet. Duh!? Meet my pet hibiscus, Herbert 🌺 (…it’s okay to groan at his demented dad jokes too)…

Formula & Application notes:
Creamy, smooth formula. Needs undies to make this polish completely pop! (‘Undies’ being an undercoat – in this case of bright white and it will shift this bright pink into overdrive. WITHOUT ‘undies’ you may need 3 or 4 thin coats. WITH undies you can get away with two, or one thick one.And yes, I am talking about the polish application, not whether you paint it on whilst you’re going commando or not. Just in case you’re confused.
The Verdict:
Love it. The bottles are cool, and the shade is amazing. It first came about in 2009, and is still sold today, so that says how popular this colour is. Even in my opinion, and I am not what you’d call a ‘pink girl’. OK yes, ignore that I have had 5 days in a row of pink manis hehe. If you love pink and you LOVE NEON then this polish is for you.
Dupes/Similar Lacquers:
Orly Beach Cruiser is similar, but not as warm. There are a bunch of hot pink neon polishes on the market and some are more bluer in tone.
