31DC2016 Day 03: Yellow – Fresh ‘n’ Floral

Day 3 of the 31 Day Challenge is Yellow. And whilst technically Spring where I am currently you wouldn’t know it by looking out the window!

I’ve gone fresh ‘n’ floral with some vintage flowers on a nice Spring-y yellow base courtesy of OPI. Actually most of the mani was created with some of my coveted OPI colours of the moment. Let’s take a look then shall we?

So here we are with the Cinderella hand for a change. Not too shabby for a left-handed job. I can be semi-ambidextrous at some things, but usually the left handed detailing is not the strongest. All the new neural pathways being built (from attempted upskilling) might make my head explode. Or that could be an effect from the lacquer fumes. Or the noisy neighbours that I will not be sad to miss. Or all of the above?

Anyhoo, reverse decals stamping was the first port of call; for which I chose a bronze outline to give it a vintage feel. Got some downtime with all the rain to do something a bit more fun. More fun than boxing up all the mountains of things that you own. It’s amazing how much ‘stuff’ you accumulate when you have been in one place for so long. I think there’s an exponential graph in there somewhere that would explain that better…

There ya go. Now ponder that next time someone tells you they have to move.

Excuse the garden path I am wandering up, it’s been a long sleepless last month and it’s terribly early in the morning here so my brain is all pickled. To wrap it up though, I coloured in the decals, cut them out and applied. Then mattified the lot! Because MATTE ALL THE THINGS!!!

The bottle line up, since you only get one hand-pose for today.

It’s been nice seeing the other entries so far, let your yellow brighten up the day! When it comes to yellow are you a lover or a hater? Sound off below.

Ha ha, your moving story makes me smile. I’ve moved quite a few times in my life and I totally agree; it’s a pain in the butt. Anyway, I’m definitely a yellow lover- and I love your floral mani! Very pretty!

Oh me too, and it has been a while since I’ve had to move after last time, so ugh. I am glad somebody feels my pain haha. I love yellow too, so thanks 🙂

Great mani! Love the bronze outline rather than a sharp black or similar!

Thank you. I preferred something softer as well.
